I’ve been a Script Reader for International Creative Management (ICM), Miracle Entertainment, Nash Entertainment, Viviano Entertainment and Scr(i)pt Magazine. I’ve read the preliminary drafts of Michael Crichton’s best-selling novels, State of Fear and Next and have performed extensive research for the stage plays and screenplays of writer/director Floyd Mutrux known for American Me (1992), Mulholland Falls (1996) and Million Dollar Quartet (2009).
I’m an active consultant for screenplays and books and I judge for many prestigious screenwriting contests, including Big Break, Artists and Writer’s Contest, Smart Contest and Chills and Thrills Contest. During that time, I’ve read over three thousand screenplays, and have consulted on dozens of books.
I wrote and produced Dirty Bomb Diaries (DBD) a 16-episode web-series that was made for $600, and was among the pioneering viral internet hits. Three of my screenplays have been optioned and one was a finalist in the Film in Arizona Screenwriting Competition. My first non-fiction book, Backpacking Through Divorce won a “Fresh Voices” award.
My goal is to help the serious writer understand the pitfalls of writing a screenplay, by reading my twice weekly blog postings.
